Virtual Plant Sale
Hello home gardeners!
We've had a number of inquiries about whether we will be growing plants for sale again this spring, and the answer is yes!
In past years we have grown veggie transplants and sold them at the Duncan Farmers Market, but because we don't know if we will be at the market this spring (or even if the market will be running) we are taking pre-orders for plants for pick up at our farm instead.
Our aim is to have plants ready for pick up around mid-May, the perfect time to plant out your garden! All plants are $4.00 each and come in 4" pots.
We're known for growing strong, healthy transplants suited to our region and we focus on "hard" to start plants (unless you have a heated greenhouse of your own); plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and more... Below is a list of what we're growing this spring. Some varieties may be more limited than others depending on how much seed we have, so the sooner you place your order the better.
To place an order please email us with a list of what you'd like. We will then email you back closer to the pick up date to confirm your order and arrange a pick up time at our farm.
If there was ever a year to plant a veggie garden this is it! Maybe you're worried about the supply of fresh produce as places like California, Mexico and Spain (where so much of the world's produce is grown) are reeling from the pandemic, or maybe you're stuck at home and wondering what to do with some new found free time... Either way growing a veggie garden is a great solution! It gets you outdoors, keeps you active, and perhaps most importantly it keeps you fed with fresh delicious food!
In the meantime, now is a great time to direct seed things like peas, radishes, spinach, and kale. If you don't have seed already consider ordering from the BC Eco Seed Co-op to support our local seed producers!
