Stock up on bulk quantities of storage produce to get you through the winter!

We will have various storage produce available if you want to just come and shop. But if you’d like larger quantities (at a discount), pre-order is required. Pre-order deadline is midnight on Wednesday, October 1.

Pick up will be Saturday, October 4 at our farm, located at 7871 Tatlo Road West, Crofton, 10:00 am - noon. If you’re not able to make the pick up time, just let us know and we’ll figure something out!

Carrots (20 lb bag), $70.00

Large 20 lb bag of our organic storage carrots. These are orange nantes type carrots that store well for months (and even improve in flavour over time!). Storage tip: to keep carrots crisp and avoid going soft, store them in a fridge in the perforated bag they come in. Check them now and then to ensure there is not too much moisture in the center. Full bag measures approximately 14" x 24" x 7".

Cylindrical Beets (10 lb bag), $30.00

Cylindrical beets are great for canning or storing to eat over winter. Their long cylindrical shape makes them perfect for slicing and adding to soups, salads, roasted veggies, and more. Storage tip: store similar to carrots, in a ventilated bag in your fridge.

Garlic (3 lb bag), $50.00

3 lb of our organic Red Russian garlic. Most of these are large heads, averaging ~1/4 lb each, with large cloves (~5 cloves per head)! Great for planting or storing to eat over winter. Approximately 12 heads. Storage tip: store in a cool (~10 degrees C), DRY space with good ventilation.

Shallots (5 lb bag), $50.00

Similar to onions, but better! Shallots have a slight garlicy flavour that make them excellent for sautéing, adding to soups and sauces, and for using raw in salads and vinaigrettes. Storage tip: store the same way as garlic, in a cool dry space (they keep well, longer than onions).

Delicata Squash (20 lb box), $60.00

Receive 20 lb of our organic delicata squash, a customer (and farmer) favourite! These compact squash weigh 1-2 lb each and are fast and easy to cook, with tender skins and excellent sweet flavour! Approximately 17 pieces. Storage tip: store in a cool, dry space with good ventilation. If any stems break off, eat those squash first as they will not store quite as long. Otherwise this variety will store for approximately 6 months.

Mixed Squash (20 lb box), $50.00

Receive a 20 lb assortment of our organic squash, including butternut, orange kabocha, delicata, celebration, and (new!) autumn frost. Approximately 10 squash. Storage tip: store in a cool, dry space with good ventilation. If any stems break off, eat those squash first as they will not store quite as long. Below is a list of the approximate storage time for each variety (i.e. eat the kabocha up by February!): -Kabocha: 2-3 months -Autumn Frost: 3-4 months -Delicata: 6 months -Butternut: 6-8 months -Celebration: 6-8 months
